Beauty tips for you

CND Solar oil

CND Solar oil
CND Solar Oil is a natural blend of jojoba oil, sweet almond oil and Vitamin E used for nails and cuticles.
Creams are good for the skin but nails cannot absorb them, so this is where oils come in.
I feel Solar Oil is the best as it's a light oil meaning it can penetrate though polishes keeping the nail hydrated. It helps with splitting, flaking and chipping nails.

Coconut oil

Now I love coconut oil - it's so versatile, not only is it great for cooking with, it's great for the skin too.
It has so many good properties that I cant list them all, but here's a few.
Coconut oil is great to use as a moisturiser through out the day, but if you apply a little before having a bath it boosts hydration.
Some people with oily skin may not like the feel of oily products, but coconut oil has antimicrobial properties which mean it can be good for acne-prone skin.
Its great for any skin inflammation issues such as psoriasis, contact dermatitis and eczema.
Dry body brushing is another way to exfoliate, offering more benefits than just that.
It help stimulate circulation and the lymphatic system.
Helps reduce the appearance of cellulite.
Continuous use can help evenly distribute the fat across the entire body instead of it depositing in the same areas all the time.

Lip exfoliating

Suffer with chapped lips? Exfoliation is the first step.
Exfoliating your dry chapped lips will get rid of the dry skin helping your lip balms work better. I like to use a natural ingredient exfoliator and find sugar-based ones are the most effective.

Lip balm

Lip balms are essential for protecting in the winter.
Look for a shea butter based as opposed to wax or oil based.
Wax in particular wont actually work - they will just act as a barrier and not a solution of helping to keep the lips moisturised.

DIY BB cream

So if you have any foundation left over from your lovely summer tan and are now looking for that lighter winter colour, don't chuck away the foundation, DIY it!
Get your foundation that you want to make a lighter shade and some moisturiser.
Little by little, add some moisturiser to the foundation until it is the shade you would like.
By doing this you wont waste any unwanted product and you'll be giving your skin a extra hydration boost for the winter days.
